Era VIII – The Quiet Fracture

Year 2326 – 2400 The Last 75 Years

Glossy civilization is the vibe of this world, with hairline cracks, strange occurrences, and growing paranoia: peak cybernetic infusion, neural interfaces, predictive policing, corporate city sovereignty, black-market biotech. Power is in the hands of the megacorps, temple regulators, data syndicates, and private armies. New key developments are happening; it’s clear the weird incidents are really staged, and the cultists and armies of the Bound have returned. People jump to the conclusion that the episodes are urban psychosis, rogue neurotech, and digital memetic infections. Still, it is the cultist influence that people are under, decay, ending, contagion, and collapse. Underground forums say what’s true, but somehow self-erase seconds after sharing. Cultists do not identify as the cultists of the Bound, but they pose as therapists, anti-corp liberation sects, purity extremists, doomsday accelerationists, and grief religions. By the time the cultist hits, it’s too late. The Sanctum Authority works to crack down; physical decay zones emerge where materials corrode at an impossibly fast rate; memory failure spreads like a social disease; bio-plagues spring up that behave like ideologies (some of these vectors include proximity to certain symbols). This is the end of the Wall Age and the beginning of the Second God War, or the Shattered War as it came to be called after the War ended.
