Alvryn, Lord of Skywinds
He is called the High Soarer and sees all while soaring on the winds. His symbol is a hawk in flight and gives the gifts of travel, freedom, clear skies, and safe flight. Worshippers are falconers, sailors, and wanderers. One folk ritual is to toss a feather into the wind for luck. He courts Keryn, Lady of Blossom, for the winds scatter blossoms; occasionally, Thryssa, Lady of Tides, for storms meet tides. He envies Taldrin, Lord of Hearthfire, for flames glow bright while wind is unseen. His gales once scattered Cyranel, Lady of Song, songbirds driving them from her festival.
Holy Day
The holy day of Alvryn is when the winds shift direction, even if subtly. Doorways are marked with ribbons and streamers, and doors are left open throughout the day. Signal fires, towers, drones, or kites are tested in the wind, especially by children. No one moves at midday, in solemn silence, to the motion of the world. Everyone enjoys the wind through their hair, and after 5 minutes, movement resumes.
